Sponsor a College of Education Student Intern
Our College of Education students are expected to participate in diverse internship opportunities to help build their professional experience and prepare them for career success. With your donation, you can help sponsor one (or more) of our student interns in the department of your choice!
Organizational Learning & Performance Internships: The Department of Organizational Learning and Performance prepares students to be effective managers and leaders in a wide variety of organizations. An important part of being hired into such a position is having the relevant industry and supervisory experiences. For many of our students, they are changing industries or looking to pursue much more challenging opportunities. Without an internship, many of the students lack the relevant experience to be viable candidates. We are requesting scholarships to help students secure viable internship positions. The scholarships would provide students to seek out a wide array of possible positions.
School Psychology and Educational Leadership Internships: M.Ed. in Education Administration- Internship Aspiring principals participate in 260 hours of internship to earn their Master's degree and qualify to become a school principal. Students complete the required standards-based activities at the elementary, middle school, and high school. This experience allows students to learn from practicing professionals and apply what they have learned program.
Sports Science and Physical Education Internships: Our Athletic Administration masters students complete a three-credit internship experience. Students gain experience in an internship of their choosing in the sport, recreation, or business world. Each of our undergraduate programs requires an internship experience as well. Outdoor education majors assist with the Outdoor Adventure Center or another exciting outdoor opportunity. Sport management majors gain experience in an internship of their choosing in the sport, recreation, or business world. Exercise science major internship experiences focus primarily on opportunities in the health sciences. Physical education teaching majors use student teaching as their internship.
Teaching and Educational Studies Internships: College of Education student teachers work full-time in a classroom internship during the last semester of their education program. These students pay full-time fees and are unable to work during this semester. For many, this creates financial hardship as most of these students work their way through college. Sponsorship of a student-teacher would ease the financial burden on them so they can focus entirely on their internship during their final semester.
