Because our students matter!
Some areas on campus cast a wide net. Student Affairs definitely does that! Supporting student growth, development and success is their sole purpose. To have a broad impact, consider supporting one of the following:
Student Emergency Fund: Your support provides financial assistance to currently enrolled students who are struggling due to unforeseen circumstance that require emergency financial assistance. Funds are used to aid in short-term crisis matters which would otherwise impede a student's success and retention at ISU.
Benny's Pantry: Poverty is often a barrier for students who are striving to obtain a certification or degree in higher education. One of the many hardships associated with poverty is food insecurity – the lack of access to enough safe and nutritious food. Your donation to Benny's Pantry will help ISU students in need of emergency food.
Bengal Mental Health: An emotionally healthy student is a successful student. The Counseling and Testing Service (CATS) helps students be well and succeed. This is because mental health problems become learning problems. Your support will help provide services as well as the consumable materials needed to serve students (e.g. assessments, treatment protocols, prevention materials). Your donation will also allow for greater prevention efforts to contribute to early intervention and aid in student success.
Veteran Student Services Center: The VSSC reaches out to veterans, service members and qualified dependents. It provides valuable academic, career, and counseling services to student veterans and service members. Your donation will allow the staff to enhance educational opportunities for veterans, care for Hero (the ISU emotional support dog), and raise community awareness.
